Thanks for stoppin' by and checkin' out the Bsombin' blog! Time to go back in time to check out some architecture and art...
In October of 2019 I went with my uncle Bill and my aunts Ivonne and Brenda to go see a Michelangelo exhibit that was on display at the Crystal Cathedral. The Crystal Cathedral is formally know as the Christ Cathedral. It's a beautifully designed church in Garden Grove, CA. that was built in the 1980's. It is covered in reflective glass and has a giant polished metal structure built next to it. Until we went, I always thought you could go up into the structure. But I came to find out that I was wrong about that. We couldn't go up into the structure and the church itself was closed. So we didn't spend a lot of time looking at the cathedral and structure. But I did shoot a lot of pictures of the structure and cathedral.
I love to shoot architecture! But I like to distort the architecture and turn it into geometric art. I like to play with the lines on buildings to make them look less like buildings and more like abstract sculptures. This is what I did with the cathedral, the structure, and the museum building behind the cathedral (where the Michelangelo exhibit was located). Here are some of the flicks I shot of the cathedral and the structure...
