Another day at Runyun Canyon

Thanks for checkin' out Bsombin'! So... I've been slacking big time on my marathon training this year. It's basically gonna boil down to how much training I can get in over the next 2 months that is going to determine how I do in the 2014 L.A. marathon. I'm a little nervous about how my body is going to cope with the intense training that I start this week, but I told too many people that I would run this marathon to be backing out of it now! As I sit here getting mentally prepared for the challenge, I wanted to share some more images from one of my favorite places to train. I went up to Runyon, yesterday, for a hike. The view was breathtaking! It was one of the clearest days I have ever seen, from the mountain's summit...

A random act of kindness

The other day I went up to Runyon Canyon to go for a hike. When I got to the top of the trail, I found this woman holding this sign & smiling at everyone who walked by. She said that while she was hiking, in Berkley CA., she came across a man holding a similar sign, at the top of the mountain she was hiking. His sign inspired her to do the same, after talking to the man and asking him for his permission to do as he did. It put a smile on my face to see her & read her sign, so I thought I'd share her sentiment with you all! :)

I went for a run, at Runyon, the other morning. It was such a clear & beautiful day that I had to get some pics from the summit. So, after my run, I walked up to the highest point & captured a few "dutched" images of LA & the valley...
