New things on the horizon...

Hello! :) Thanks for taking the time to check out Bsombin'! I'm happy, & very excited, because I'm starting on some new projects & beginning to make changes in my approach to art & my creative process. I have never attempted to do anything like what I am embarking on now & am very excited to share my new work! I have never seen anything like the art I am creating. I hope to change the way the world views me as an artist, with this new form. I'm still a ways away from having this new incarnation of my art ready to share with the world, but the new process is underway. Though I don't have a finished piece to show, I will share some images of the bits & pieces coming together to make my new creations. My creative process...

Recently, I was commissioned to paint a piece for a friend who saw some of my art & wanted some for her home. I decided to photo document the process, so as to better understand my own process and improve it to make things more efficient & effective. Here are some of the images, going from the sketches that I drew; to the raw artist panels that I built (...with, my good friend, Franky's help); to priming the panels; then painting the panels; packing the panels so I could transport them safely; & then, finally, hanging the panels in their new home. ...Basically, from concept to final execution of the job. ...As I tend to do, often, I also wrote a poem for this piece. I wrote it on the piece itself, in the background. Since the images cover much of it, however, I'm including it at the bottom of the post, for those of you who would like to read it. Hope you enjoy this look into my creative process! What up world?! Thanks for checkin' the blog. The website is underway & should be ready to launch in the next few weeks! In addition, business is picking up & things are starting to grow. ...I have been busy with much! ...drawing, painting, designing, writing, reading, building, managing, networking, selling, buying, uploading, downloading, advising, consulting, asking, learning, teaching, shooting, editing, archiving, etc... In short, growin', grindin', & hustlin'! I made the time, this weekend, to start a new canvas...
