Pyromaniac Poetry

When I was a kid, in elementary school, I was drawn to fire & always wanted to play with it. Needless to say I got in a lot of trouble, & I burned myself a lot, as a child. As I got older, I evolved from lighting fires to making explosives. I taught myself a great deal about weapons, explosives, & survival techniques. ...I guess you could say I was a bit of a "Jr. Doomsday Preper" at that point in my life. Lol. ...Despite my family's efforts to discourage my fire starting, I continued on this destructive path until I reached the 7th grade. That was when I discovered graffiti & turned from my pyromaniac ways. I went from burning things & making bombs to, as they say, "throwing up burners & bombin' the city". Years later, I discovered my love for poetry, in high school. I wrote this poem, while I was a Junior at Reseda High School, remembering my love for fire as a child. I kept it & it was one of the handful of poems that lead me to the decision to write a book of poems. I even decided to include it in the book. I guess you could say I have been working on my book of poems for a good minute. Lol. I hope you enjoy this poem, as it is very dear to me, being that it is one of the oldest poems I have written. "Your Warmth..."

Flickering flame,

While caressing my cold flesh 

With your luminous warmth

& twinkling rays, 

You cast my 

Amour & iniquity 

Into the depths of 

Raven shadows

...Your soundless cries,

& enchantingly

Rhythmic flutter, 

Place their 

Incantation upon me,

While my mind drifts in 

Your smokes embrace, 

...I sit subdued, &

Mesmerized, by your

Beautiful glow

As you dance

Through the night,

You burn 

memories onto 

Nights face;  

Vanquish darkness; & 

Kiss me with 

Your 

Warmth

Hello world!! Thanks for checkin' in to see what's new with bsombin'!! ...I fell off the face of the "Interwebs", for a minute there, but am back to keep on bsombin'. It's been a crazy first quarter, in 2013. I have been in the "lab" working on several projects, & went back to hittin' the books to learn a few new skills to add to my vast & unique skill set. I've also been developing a new form of art that I started creating. I have been working on the poetry book & started work on what will eventually be a series of sci-fi books. My partner, Mr. Berendzen, & I have been busy working out deals with friends, in order to continue "building our Kibatsu machine." I have a lot of new content that I will be posting in the following weeks, starting with a new mix! Your embrace...

The sunshine for my blind heart to see

The fingers that hold the stars in my sky,

On webs; spun of hopes & dreams; interlaced with warm cozy memories,

Tickle & Sooth my heart's ancient soul in it's deepest wounds & on it's most tender bruises 

...& they belong to you

The hands that are my gravity, 

& hold my planets; & their moons; in orbit,

Keep me from spinning out of control & tearing myself apart, 

While they paint the nebulas; of inspiration; that have formed galaxies throughout my deepest inner space

...& they belong to you

The arms that carried my fallen stars also belong to you & they held...

The sunshine for my blind heart to see

Until you saw that we just can't be, 

& that it was time to let go 

& set the universe free...

A new poem for the new year

Hi! Thanks for checkin' out Bsombin'! In light of my belated Dec. mix, I want to make sure I don't slip on the mix this month. I started getting tracks together, & arranging them, for the mix. But I still have some work to do before it's done. I wanna put it down a lot harder, this year, so I am taking a little longer than usual with my mixes now.
