Trap2Dubstep&back...

Hello world!! Thanks for checkin' in to see what's new with bsombin'!! ...I fell off the face of the "Interwebs", for a minute there, but am back to keep on bsombin'. It's been a crazy first quarter, in 2013. I have been in the "lab" working on several projects, & went back to hittin' the books to learn a few new skills to add to my vast & unique skill set. I've also been developing a new form of art that I started creating. I have been working on the poetry book & started work on what will eventually be a series of sci-fi books. My partner, Mr. Berendzen, & I have been busy working out deals with friends, in order to continue "building our Kibatsu machine." I have a lot of new content that I will be posting in the following weeks, starting with a new mix! Bsombin' June Dub-step Mini Mix

Thanks for stoppin by & checkin' out Bsombin'! Here is the first of this month's mixes. ...I was having a few beers at a bar, the other night, when I over heard a guy, who appeared to be in his mid-50's, trying to explain Dub-step to his parents & friends. The funny thing was, he didn't know how to explain it, & he, himself, seamed pretty unsure, & a little confused, as to what it was. I turned to the group & told them that it's basically bass music that plays around 140bpm. Lol. They all looked even more confused & began asking questions. We had a nice long talk about Dub-step & they said they learned a lot & thanked me for "shining some light on things" for them. The guy in his 50's also said he was happy that he was going to be able to talk to his teenage son about Dub-step & know what he was talking about. Lol. He asked me what were some artist he could look up online, to get more familiar with Dub-step. The first things out of my mouth were Dub Police & Circus Records. At the same time, I was trying to think of what I would put in this month's mix. So, it just seamed right that I do a mix of tunes from my 2 favorite Dub-step labels. Bassrush - L.A. Pt1!!

Welcome to Bsombin'! ...Last week I went to a couple of Bassrush events & saw some great DJs & a legend in the world of Drum & Bass! On 5/27 I headed out to the weird streets of Hollywood to go to the "Circus". ...Bassrush vs. Circus Records, that is. The Circus records crew killed it all night long! It was another night of "light shows", Mosh pits, & heavy basslines!! The highlight of the night was watching all the Circus crew get on stage, at the end of the night, and go back to back with each other! Then, on 6/1, it was back to Hollyweird to see Sigma, Rusko, & the legendary Andy C! We missed Fury's set & got there half way through Sigma. But We were there for all of "the Don's"(Andy C) set! It was murda pon da decks, when da "Executioner" got started! Andy C put on a show second to none! The man is a hard act to follow, but Rusko closed out the show & got the crowd going insane! Valentine's Day Mix (A.K.A. the Bsombin' Feb. Love Story mix)

Welcome to the blog! Wether you've been here before, or are checkin' out Bsombin' for the first time, thanks for stoppin' by. It took me a while to get this month's mix together because I wanted to tell a story with the songs in this mix. With it being Feb, and with Valentine's Day coming up, I decided to go with a love story. The music goes from an 80's New Wave classic, to some Dubstep, to Drum & Bass, & finishes with an electro-rock remix. As the intro says, it's a journey through sound & a tale of love. I hope you give it a listen & enjoy it enough to share or download it. Caspa!!!!

So, this past Friday Caspa was at "Control", at the Avalon, and he killed it!!!! Dillon Francis went on, before Caspa, & played a sick set that was all over the electro gambit. Then Caspa took over and dropped one Dubstep banger after another! It was the first time I've been to a show where I saw, both, Moshing & "Light shows" in the same building! Shit was crazy! ...Here are some pics, from the night, for you to check out.

Paid Dues 2011 - Part 2

Thanks for checking out Bsombin'! Heres a video of one the performances from last week's Paid Dues Underground Hip-hop Festival... Eligh, of the Living Legends, flowin' on a dubstep beat!! The footage is shaky, because I couldn't just sit still and film while this guy had the crowd going nuts! I was feeling the music too much to just play camera man, I had to dance and jump around to his performance! Hope the videos don't give anyone motion sickness. Lol. Enjoy...
