Last of the Dub-step mash-ups. ...for now.

When I first started getting into Ska music, back in the early 90's, Hepcat was one of my favorite bands. In fact, Hepcat was one of the first bands I saw live. So, I felt, it was only proper to include them in this mash-up project. This project has been a clash of past & present, for me, more than of genres & styles. It has been very personal to me, because I have use so much music that I relate to special, or intense, moments in my life. A lot of these songs have a lot of sentiment, to me, which is why I have chosen them to be mashed up with my beloved Dub-step music. This Hepcat song ("Miss Congeniality") has that, in more ways than one...

...Almost done with all the tracks for my Sound Clash mix! Most of the tracks are already posted on my Soundcloud, but I have a few that I never shared, so there will be a few surprises on the mix. Enjoy this 90's RnB love song getting a makeover with the help of some epic Dub-step.

Here's another mash-up for your listening pleasure. Dub-step continues to be the focus of these mash-ups, this time Ska gets mashed. The Wailing Wailers (Mr. Bob Marley's 60's Ska group) - "Simmer Down" vs. 16Bit - "In The Death Cab". ...A step closer to that Sound Clash mix!

Still trying to find time to work on this mash-up mix/album, but it seems like the only way to get anything done is by depriving myself of sleep. So here I am, working on this at 1AM, on a "school night". Oh well, at least I got another 2 mash-ups done tonight. Check 'em out and download them if you like what you hear! Dub-step Mash-ups

TGIF!!!! Thanks for checking in with Bsombin'! I'm working on a Dub-step mash-up mix/album. Here are some of the mash-ups I have made so far. I'm still working on making more, and then I'm going to put them all together into a nice long mix, but this will give you an idea of where I'm going with it. Some of these mash-ups are new, the others I had posted once before (prior to coming up with the idea to make a mix/album) so this is a mix of new and old. Hope you enjoy the mash-ups. Here are a couple of mash-ups I made earlier this year. The first puts Santogold's (or Santigold's, since she changed her name) "Your Voice" against Distance's "Clockwork". Pop vs. Dub-step, soft vs. hard... The second is the Jacksons' "Torture" vs. Joker's "City Hoppers". Once again Pop vs. Dub-step. Hope you enjoy!
