I went for a run, at Runyon, the other morning. It was such a clear & beautiful day that I had to get some pics from the summit. So, after my run, I walked up to the highest point & captured a few "dutched" images of LA & the valley...

Nero! ...Drum & Bass and Dub-Step

Happy holidays & thanks for checkin' out Bsombin'! So with one of the craziest years of my life coming to a close, I decide to get out & celebrate surviving 2011, this past Friday. Some good friends & I decided to go see Nero, one DnB's & Dubstep's biggest stars, shine bright on Xmas eve (...they didn't come on stage till after 12, so technically we saw them on the 24th, even though Friday was the 23rd...). It was a great night with good friends, & the music surpassed expectations. We got there early, left late, & had fun the whole time! Last of the Dub-step mash-ups. ...for now.

When I first started getting into Ska music, back in the early 90's, Hepcat was one of my favorite bands. In fact, Hepcat was one of the first bands I saw live. So, I felt, it was only proper to include them in this mash-up project. This project has been a clash of past & present, for me, more than of genres & styles. It has been very personal to me, because I have use so much music that I relate to special, or intense, moments in my life. A lot of these songs have a lot of sentiment, to me, which is why I have chosen them to be mashed up with my beloved Dub-step music. This Hepcat song ("Miss Congeniality") has that, in more ways than one...
