Necessity is the mother of invention!

Hello world! Thanks for takin' the time to check out Bsombin'! ...So, what do you do when your company needs something you can't afford? ...Weight out the options & think outside the box! ...We needed a coil winder, so we built a make-shift one, to helped us get one step closer to completing our first order. Not the prettiest coil winder, but a lot of time, & a good handful of money, was saved by this device! I decide to share the "plans" & images in case you, or anyone you know, happen to be in need of a cheap coil winder. Lol

Update on the work in progress

So, I posted images of a canvas I had started, a while back. I had to put the canvas on the back burner, because of all the work I had going, though. Things haven't really slowed down, but I have been sacrificing sleep to make sure things are getting done. I took some pics of the work in progress, recently, to share. I am almost done with the piece, now, so you'll be able to see the completed work, here, soon. In the mean time, however, here are the work in progress images...

My Princess' Birthday!

Hello world, thanks for checkin' out Bsombin'! Today is my daughter's Bday & it's a big one! ..."The big 1-0! Lol. ...It's been a decade since I was blessed with the greatest gift God has ever given me. So hard to believe how fast time flies when your having fun! She is the single best thing to ever happen to me & I am the happiest father the world has ever know! Without a doubt, she has helped me to grow & learn just as much as I have helped her, over the past 10 years, and I wouldn't be the man I am if I hadn't been given "God's precious gift"(...that's actually what her name means in Hawaiian). In light of my daughter's special day, I'm going to share something I wrote for her when she turned 1. I hope you enjoy my daughter's birthday poem & check back soon for more Bsombin'!

"Fire Truck in the Fog"

Thanks for checkin' out Bsombin'! I haven't had a lot of time to edit new content (but I have a lot coming) & I've had this pic in my "things to post folder" for a while now. ...It's a random pic I took in Chinatown, after an art show, one night. I liked the way the fire engine's lights were glowing in the foggy night air. I think it's been in the "things to post folder" long enough... Check back soon for more art, poetry, music & more!

My creative process...

Recently, I was commissioned to paint a piece for a friend who saw some of my art & wanted some for her home. I decided to photo document the process, so as to better understand my own process and improve it to make things more efficient & effective. Here are some of the images, going from the sketches that I drew; to the raw artist panels that I built (...with, my good friend, Franky's help); to priming the panels; then painting the panels; packing the panels so I could transport them safely; & then, finally, hanging the panels in their new home. ...Basically, from concept to final execution of the job. ...As I tend to do, often, I also wrote a poem for this piece. I wrote it on the piece itself, in the background. Since the images cover much of it, however, I'm including it at the bottom of the post, for those of you who would like to read it.
