4/18/21 - West Coast Times' Elysian Park Cruise - Pt.1

Thanks for checkin' out the Bsombin' blog! In a previous post I said I was going to post some pictures from a recent cruises. So the next few posts are going to be from a cruise that I went to a couple of weeks ago at Elysian Park.

The cruise was hosted by a clothing brand called West Coast Times. I hadn't heard of the brand before the cruise. I actually thought it was a car club I hadn't heard of, when I saw the flyer for the cruise. But, while I was at the cruise, I met Cristy West (the owner of the brand). She's a smart woman that's about her hustle. She explained that she was hosting the cruise to promote her brand. She filled up a lowrider with models and had them cruisin' around the park in her clothes to promote the brand while shooting photo and video content for her site and social media. I thought it was a great idea that made for a good time. There was a good turnout for the cruise, a lot of lowriders showed up, the park got packed, and there were a lot of great photo opportunities.

It was my first time going to a cruise at Elysian Park. So I was excited to shoot there. I took my furry son with me too, so I could get some pictures of him with the lowriders. He got a little overwhelmed by all the action, though. So we didn't stay very long. But I still managed to get a lot of pictures I was happy with.

I usually find out about the cruises through Instagram. Whoever is hosting the cruise will make a flyer and post it on IG to promote the cruise. I'll try to include the flyers, when I post cruises, to give credit to whoever organized and promoted the cruise. With all that said, it's time to get to the lowriders. So, with no further ado, here is the first batch of pictures from the West Coast Times Cruise at Elysian Park.

There's still a lot of flicks left from this cruise. But I'm going to break them up into batches of 20, to make it a little easier to digest all this beautiful automotive artwork. So make sure to check back soon for more lowriders, poetry, art, and Bsombin'!
