Heartache, in poetic form, with an old illustration

Here's an old drawing that I did years ago, to accompany a new poem I wrote.

"My Yesterday Sky (Mi Ayer Cielo)"

Your embrace...
The sunshine for my blind heart to see

The fingers that hold the stars in my sky,
On webs; spun of hopes & dreams; interlaced with warm cozy memories,
Tickle & Sooth my heart's ancient soul in it's deepest wounds & on it's most tender bruises
...& they belong to you

The hands that are my gravity,
& hold my planets; & their moons; in orbit,
Keep me from spinning out of control & tearing myself apart,
While they paint the nebulas; of inspiration; that have formed galaxies throughout my deepest inner space
...& they belong to you

The arms that carried my fallen stars also belong to you & they held...
The sunshine for my blind heart to see

...That is,
Until you saw that we just can't be,
& that it was time to let go
& set the universe free...
Now,
A black hole is all that is left of me
