Evolution of a prototype

Hello world! Thanks for checkin' out the Bsombin' blog. When I started this blog, I wasn't quite sure as to why I was doing it. ...It seemed like fun, I guess. It was a creative challenge and a new way to express myself. I thought it would also be something that would help me to evolve as an artist, by forcing me to learn new skills while helping me to further hone the ones I already possessed. ...So, I began, without any real direction, or intention, other than to share my art and express myself creatively.

I never would have expected what it would eventually grow into...  This blog grew to be an extension of self, for me. I began to express more and more of what I had inside and revealed things about myself that few people had know prior. I showed sides of myself that I had kept hidden from the world. I pored my heart out and revealed my secrets with poems; shared my happiest moments with photos and music, showed my thoughts and my views through my art; and told all kinds of things about myself, my family, and my friends, in my stories.

...I've worked hard to build and maintain it, too. ...Staying up late, after long work days, to edit and post images. ...Getting up early, to write and post new updates. ...Going without sleep to redesign the look of the blog. ...And promoting the blog to grow a following...

I have succeeded in having fun, learning new skills, honing old skills, sharing my art, & expressing myself creatively, here. And, I have evolved a great deal, as an artist. ...So, I think it's safe to say that I accomplished everything I was trying for, with this blog. What I didn't expect was to have it develop a following and to actually touch people with the blog. I have had people tell me that my blog made them cry, that my blog brought them smiles and made them laugh, and that my blog taught them something new and showed them something they had never seen before... This fun little experiment grew into something I never thought it would when I started it four years ago!

Now, four years & 400 posts later, in order to continue evolving as an artist, I am creating a new blog on my website. The occasional update will still be made here, but the new blog is where most of my time blogging will be spent. Please come check out the site at www.bsombin.com and see how things are evolving at the new blog! Thank you to all who have been following and reading along, over the years, and thank you for supporting this Bsombin'!!
