The Broad Museum (09/26/2019) - Part 3 Ellsworth Kelly & Sam Francis

Thanks for checkin' out the Bsombin' blog! This is the third installment of our tour of the Broad museum. So far, we've seen work from Jeff Koons, Mark Bradford, Andy Warhol, & Jasper Johns, in the first two sections. The next two sections are smaller sections so we'll check out the third and forth sections in this post.

The third section was a small section in one of the corners of the Broad. There were two works from Ellsworth Kelly in the third section. There was also a young woman admiring Kelly's work in the third section. So, I included her in the shots, to show that the museum wasn't empty. And, also, because I find a beauty in art being appreciated.

The forth section was also a small one artist section. It had two paintings in it by Sam Francis. The two were very different styles with almost opposite feels to them. One very colorful and lively. The second one dark and somber. It's always interesting, to me, to see when an artist has different styles that express and show their different moods and feelings.

The next section was a larger section full of Edward Ruscha's beautiful work. That's coming in the next post. So make sure to check back soon for more of the pre-pandemic Broad tour and more!
